Resolving disputes

A transaction is concluded directly between users, therefore a dispute over the quality of an item, the time of handover or payment is resolved by its parties. Below is what the service can do in such a situation and where to turn if no agreement is reached.

Steps to take

The first step is the chat. State your claim to the other party in the advertisement chat. The correspondence is retained and serves as evidence of what was agreed if the dispute reaches a third party.

The second step is contacting the service. If there is no reply or it does not satisfy you, send an enquiry from your account, the “Help” section. State the advertisement, the date and the substance of the disagreement.

The third step is external authorities. The service has no power to compel the parties to perform their obligations. In a dispute with a trader, contact the consumer protection authority of your country; where a crime is suspected, contact the police.

What the service can do

We check an advertisement against the posting rules and withdraw it in the event of a breach.

We restrict access to an account where a user’s conduct bears the signs of fraud or systematic breach of the rules.

Upon a lawful request from a competent authority we provide the information required for an investigation, to the extent provided by law.

We do not act as arbitrator in a property dispute, do not hold or transfer funds between users and do not compensate losses arising from transactions.
