About this category

Real estate in Sweden: apartments and houses for sale and for rent, rooms, summer houses, land, garages and commercial premises, plus property abroad. Filter by rooms and area, compare the price per m² and contact owners directly in the chat.

Buy, rent or find a room

Apartments for sale and apartments for rent make up much of the section, alongside houses, houses for rent and rooms — handy for students and anyone happy to share. For weekends in the countryside there are summer houses, for building plans there’s land, and for business there are two subsections, commercial and commercial for rent. Garages and parking spaces have their own subsections, and property abroad covers homes in other countries, each with its country and city.

Narrow the list with “Rooms”, “Area” and “Parking”, use “Land, ares” for plots, and “Property type”, “Country” and “City” when looking abroad. Every price comes with the price per m², which makes it easier to compare a small renovated studio with a bigger flat that needs work. Search around a city with a radius to include nearby areas, and sort by price or by newest.

Viewing: what to look at

Always view in person, ideally in daylight. Open the windows and taps, check the water pressure and how quickly hot water arrives, look for damp patches in corners and behind furniture, and ask how the place is heated and what the monthly running costs usually come to. In an apartment building, look at the stairwell, the basement and the courtyard — they say a lot about how the building is looked after.

Find out who you’re dealing with: the owner or someone acting for them, and ask to see a document that confirms it. For a rental, agree in writing on the rent, the deposit, what’s included and how either side can end the agreement. When buying, it’s worth asking a professional to check the documents before you sign anything.

Let or sell your property faster

Photograph every room from the corner, with the lights on and the curtains open, and add the view from the window, the kitchen, the bathroom and a floor plan if you have one. Fill in “Rooms”, “Area” and “Parking”, and “Land, ares” for houses — buyers who filter by these fields may never see a listing that leaves them empty.

In the description, say which floor it is and whether there’s a lift, how the place is heated, what furniture stays, when it’s available and who it suits — a family, a couple, students. For rentals, state the monthly rent and the deposit clearly. A listing stays up for 60 days, and you can extend it with one tap when the reminder arrives.

Avoid rental scams

The classic trick is an attractive flat at a low rent whose “owner” is abroad and asks for a deposit before any viewing, promising to post the keys. Don’t transfer money for a property you haven’t seen to a person you haven’t met. Other warning signs: you’re rushed, asked to continue in another messenger or sent a payment link. Keep the conversation in the Nordo chat — your phone number stays hidden unless you choose to share it — and use “Report” if a listing looks fake.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rent an apartment safely?

View the flat in person and meet the owner or their representative. Ask for a document showing they have the right to let it, and agree in writing on rent, deposit and notice period. Never pay a deposit before a viewing, and be wary of anyone who rushes you or wants to move the chat elsewhere.

What does the price per m² show?

It’s the asking price divided by the floor area, shown automatically next to the price. It helps you compare listings of different sizes: a small flat can look cheap but cost more per square metre than a larger one nearby. Sellers should fill in “Area” accurately so the figure is right.

Can I find property abroad on Nordo?

Yes. Property abroad lists homes and other property in other countries. Each listing shows the country and city of the property, and you can filter by “Country”, “City” and “Property type”. The usual rule applies: don’t send money for a property you haven’t seen or checked.

How long does a property listing stay active?

Posting is free for private owners and businesses alike, with no limit on the number of listings. A listing stays active for 60 days; you’ll get reminders before it expires and can extend it with one tap. Every listing is checked before publication — automatically, and by a moderator if needed.

How do I find a room to rent as a student?

Open rooms and set your city with a radius so nearby districts are included. Sort by price or by newest, and save the search to get a notification on the site and in the app about every new room. Ask the owner about bills, house rules and flatmates, and always view the room before paying anything.
