About this category

Sports & leisure in Lithuania: bicycles, skis, fitness equipment, camping and fishing gear, board games and much more from people who share your hobby. Find gear for the next season or sell what’s been gathering dust.

Gear for every season

The section opens with bicycles, followed by scooters, skates & boards for the city and fitness equipment for working out at home. Outdoor fans will find hiking & camping, winter sports, water sports, fishing and hunting. There are subsections for team sports, martial arts, equestrian, billiards, darts and table tennis, plus board games for evenings in and sports nutrition.

Each subsection has its own filters. Bikes are narrowed by “Bicycle type” and “For whom”, skis and snowboards by “Ski length”, “Board length” and “Level”, fishing gear by “Fishing type”, “Rod length” and “Reel type”, tents by “Capacity” and backpacks by “Backpack volume”. For board games, “Number of players”, “Age” and “Completeness” tell you at once whether the box is worth it.

What to check before buying

With a bicycle, make sure the frame size suits your height, look for cracks and dents, spin the wheels to see that they run true and test the brakes and every gear. A stretched chain or worn tyres aren’t a problem as long as the price reflects them.

Try ski boots and skates on with the socks you’ll actually wear, check ski bases and edges, and ask whether the bindings can be adjusted to your boots. A tent is worth pitching, or at least counting the poles and pegs and checking the floor for holes. For board games and puzzles, ask whether every piece is there. With sports nutrition, check the “Best before (year)” and make sure the package is sealed.

Selling sports gear faster

Timing matters: skis and snowboards are in demand before winter, bikes and kayaks in spring. Post a few weeks before the season starts and buyers will find you while they’re still planning.

Photograph the item clean and in daylight, from both sides, with close-ups of wear points — the drivetrain on a bike, the bases on skis, the soles on boots. Fill in size and level, add the brand, model and year, and say what’s included: pump, lock, bindings, bag. Tick “Open to offers” if you’re open to offers, so buyers can propose their price in the chat. Posting is free.

Handover and payment

Bulky gear like bikes and treadmills is best handed over in person, so the buyer can try it. Smaller items — darts, rackets, reels, board games — travel well by parcel locker or post. Meet somewhere public in daylight, test the item and pay the seller directly. Keep messages in the Nordo chat: if anything goes wrong, the “Report” button is right there.

If you can plan ahead, save a search for next winter’s skis while it’s still spring — you’ll get a notification on the site and in the app every time a matching pair is listed. And watch for the percentage badge: it means the seller has lowered the price by at least 5% in the last 30 days.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right bike size?

Ask the seller for the frame size and compare it with a size guide for your height and the type of bike. Better still, take a test ride: you should stand over the frame comfortably and reach the handlebars without stretching. Use the “Bicycle type” and “For whom” filters to narrow the list.

When is the best time to sell skis or a bike?

Just before the season: skis, snowboards and skates in late autumn, bikes and water sports gear in early spring, when people are getting ready. Post a few weeks ahead, fill in the size and level, and add good daylight photos.

How do I check a used bike before buying?

Look over the frame for cracks and dents, spin the wheels to check they’re true, test both brakes and shift through every gear. Check the chain and tyres for wear and ask about the last service. Take a short ride before paying, and agree on the meeting place in the chat.

Can I sell sports nutrition?

Yes, sports nutrition has its own subsection with filters for “Form”, “Flavour”, “Weight” and “Best before (year)”. Sell only sealed, unexpired products and give the best-before date clearly. Like every listing on Nordo, yours is checked before publication, and anything prohibited by law isn’t allowed.

Can sports equipment be sent by parcel locker?

Yes, if the item fits and the seller offers it. Sellers choose from meet up, parcel locker, courier and post. Bikes and fitness machines are usually collected in person, while smaller gear ships easily. Payment is agreed directly between you and the seller.
